We spent a cold night in Le Boit at Johns ski cabin, the views again where amazing. Tree lined mountains all golden browns, red, oranges, purples and yellows. By night the milky way shone in all its glory, through some binoculars we could even see Jupiter and 3 moons(or distant stars in alignment). After a beer and some food at the local bar/restaurant we called it a night.

I really did enjoy this first smoke, it has some great flavours. I love the tobacco mixture and its sweet & sour taste, smooth and cool. In most respects i cant really find fault with it. It burns well, really REALLY tastes good. Isnt so rich or strong you can’t smoke it all day long. So is it a perfect tobacco?? In one respect it isn’t, i can only say its needs a little more Latakia. I dont care for it in small does, i love the full blown fire cured taste ( a little to much sometimes). But thats all i can say i would change with the blend. Even so its still going way up there in my favourites list.

The time is finally here, I’m off to France tomorrow morning. I can’t wait, 2 of my favourite things: mountains & pipes. I am flying out and spending the first night in the alps with John. Then heading to st Claude on the second day. The main reason for this visit, is to meet Pierre [...]

A blend of 80% black cavendish(vanilla cased) & 20% gold Virginia (menthol). Smoked in another dunhill reject. Smooth and soothing, not enough vanilla really. This was just a test, dont really why know why i filmed this……..
