Hi there, I have smoked rolling tobacco for about 25 years now, and have just discovered Pall Mall, RED. It's a really nice smooth smoke and well priced, but was a bit dismayed when I got home and weighed it. I only got 23 g of tobacco and the packet weighed 4 g, where is the other 2g ?, I would be grateful for a reply and/or explanation ! Thanks, Mark Hay.

I agree on your assessment of Petersen's Old Dublin. I thought it very bitter and unsmokeable. Even soaking it with some high end whiskey didn't help it any. In the trash can it went to make room for better offerings.

I got a tin of this yesterday and am on my 3rd bowl so this 'immediate' response will be tempered later when I get more experience of the different flavours in there - but I like it, sweet and spicey at thge same time. There seems to be some casing there, the paper in the tin was heavily stained and call me odd, but the first thing that came to my mind when opening and sniffing was plum - Germaines Plum Cake in fact, although nowhere near as strong, but to me at least it had that old slightly musty (in a good way) plum like aroma to it. Definately pleased with it so far!
