The River Witham is a pretty long river, flowing through much of Lincolnshire (im not going to make the jokes of our neighbouring county). Ive never really thought about fishing it, but then i stumbled upon a video from a fellow Notts angler
Looked like a nice little river to fish, i love fishing the Leen and Maun local to me. So we planned on the 27th to head down with Liam and Stuart to see what we could catch trotting some maggots along and following along the river. The local council allow free fishing wherever you can access the water within the town.
I will be honest, we didnt really get very far on the grand scheme of things, the plan to keep moving was derailed when we found a few spots with fish and failed to keep moving.
The main aim was to try a new place, but i knew it held some Greyling and as of yet the Queen of the Stream has eluded me. Being the person who fishes ponds, canals and the lower ends of rivers, when they are far too dirty. But i was delighted to catch one as my first fish (well i lost a Pearch at the net, but doesnt count.)
