JoOp: Ok Guys, Straight to the point. How far do you wanna take this band?
Jody: All the way!
Big Dave: Bogna Regis!
Stef: Sussex.
JoOp: No Plans for world domination or anything?
Jody: We’d like to make a living from this band basically.
JoOp: The voice of reason! How did you guys meet?
Tock: It’s a long long story, take it away Ribsy!
Ribsy: I answered an ad in a newspaper called the Evening post, which was advertising for a drummer right, for a band. This band was with Tock playing bass at the time and Crag wasn’t in it until later. It all fucking turned around! I started singing and playing guitar, Tock went back to drums because he’d broken one of his fingers and couldn’t play bass properly. But he thought he’d give it a try anyway.
Then I met Jody at college and it just started accumulating, we started attracting people…
???????????? ((Matt Farts))
Ribsy: Ewww Matt, I felt that! Anyway, then I knew Stef a long time ago, he auditioned for drums, but that was only when we very first started.
Stef: Yeah, I wasn’t on the drums, Tock was, but we stayed mates.
Tock: This was when I was playing bass!
Stef: Was it?
Ribsy: Yeah alright, what else happened?
Jody: We met down the pub.
???????????? ((Everyone Laughs))
Ribsy: It’s so long ago, so fucking long ago. Matt I’ve known since birth.
Matt: Since you shat in my bath!
Ribsy: And he still bathes in that same bath! Naaah, His dad was in a band with my dad. So his mum babysat for me, and I shat in her bath, when I was an ickle baby. Is that everyone?
Errrm Benjuth was Stef’s mate, we thought we’d get a sax in and Dave was Jody’s mate and he plays Euphonium. Is that everyone? Have I got everyone in?
JoOp: It seems so, cool, alot of time has passed since you started this ska machine, do you think your style has evolved or even changed during this process?
Ribsy: Yeeeeah.
JoOp: Elaborate please.
Big Dave: Is that bit written on your sheet too!
JoOp: ???????????? ((grunts))
JoOp: Any of you guys involved in any other projects? Would you like to talk a little on that.
Matt: I’m in a band called Bud, we kicked our slack jawed bassist out, Ribsy has taken over on bass, all we gotta do is organise a practice.
Stef: Me and Jody are in a band called Jimmy the Squirrel, I play the Trombone. Jody’s keyboard and backing vocals.
JoOp: Tonight is the Junktion 7 annual battle of the bands, you won last year. How do you find the competition this year, providing you’ve been to some of the heats?
Stef: Top quality.
Tock: Always attracts a handful of good bands.
Stef: Balance of silence, I predict them to ge to the finals. They’re on like a rock sound tour, they’re very good.
JoOp: Who do you enjoy playing with?
Jody: What we talkin? Inside the band? ya know ;D do you know what I mean?
JoOp: No No No! Other bands, touring buddies.
Matt: Jimmy the Squirrel, I know there’s 2 guys from this band involved, but they’ve got a fantastic sound, when we were on tour with Bud that was fuckin brilliant!
Stef: Always good to play with Breakneck.
Ribsy: Breakneck are brilliant.
Tock: Yeah, Breakneck are awesome.
Ribsy: We’ve only played with them once but Stupid Stupid Stupid and Steve are fucking brilliant man!
Stef: Ska-Punk from Leamington Spa.
Tock: Streetlight manifesto, that was amazing.
Ribsy: But we don’t get to play with them that regularly.
Big Dave: Chas and Dave are alright too.
JoOp: Any up n’ coming new releases or world tours you think the “people” should know about?
Ribsy: Gonna start recording mid-September aren’t we lads?
Weeble in unison: Yes, yes we are.
Tock: Matt’s got a new house you see, so we’re hoping to turn the basement into a recording studio.
Matt: So hopefully we should get lots of the stuff done quickly.
Stef: The North of England is on the pipeline or in the pipeline for a tour.
JoOp: How’s the sponsorship of Jagameister working out? “hic”
Ribsy: Fantastic!
Stef: We love it.
Jody: Just free booze, that’s what it is!
Stef: It’s a fantastic ice breaker, we always plug them. But at the same time it does us dividends by ice breaking material.
Matt: Makes you look like you’ve got more merchandise than you have.
Stef: Makes us look more organised than what we are. Although we are quite ORGANISED.
JoOp: Have you any fans overseas? Name one furthest away…
Matt: There’s a guy in south Mexico.
Jody: Malaysia.
Benjuth: There’s a guy in Saudi Arabia that likes us.
JoOp: Would you like to make any band recommendations of the signed or unsigned kind?
Jody: Jimmy the squirrel!!
Big Dave: Mumra!
Matt: Random Hand.
Stef: Breakneck from Brixton.
Ribsy: These are the bands that have been real cool with us, nice guys as well.
Jody: Streetlight manifesto they should be superstars man.
Ribsy: Wagstaffe
Stef: Pariah.
Tock: What were that band that were like punk with a wicked cockney accent?
Ribsy: Cooper?
Tock: Cooper yeah.
JoOp: And finally guys, time to plug, I’m going to leave this slot open for any shout outs you would like to give…
Ribsy: Can we just say our website address has changed slightly because some fuckin bastard didn’t obey the internet rules! They fuckin sold our site on to a company in Panama, who then bought it for like 25 cents so now there’s a hyphen in the middle of it.
???????????? www.go-weeble.com
Matt: ???????????? www.myspace.com/weeble
Stef: We’ve got like video games on the site at the moment up there. I dunno whether people have seen them.
Ribsy: It’s a new site, it’s been updated and it’s got new stuff on!
JoOp: Thankyou very much!

Ribsy: Some of the stuff we write has been influenced by the bands we play with, definitely. When we play with Streetlight Manifesto, let’s name drop… Whitmore, Those 2 bands are influential, some of their newer stuff and maybe the slightly more incredible side of ska. More sort of ska-core as opposed to the kind of lighter side. Stef: Like the Mad Caddies. Ribsy: We’ve gone from minor to major. When we first started it was very very poppy, probably not even punk. Poppy rock really.
