Being a Nottinghamshire lad, born barely miles from the edges of the historic Sherwood Forest. The discovery of coal, deforestation for warships and then the need for pine, saw most of this disappear, but we still have a lot of woods.

As kids we would spend a lot of time in the surrounding wood, having picnics and then in the autumn picking chestnuts and trying to avoid getting to muddy. So now progressing nicely on my driving lesson, we drove up there and met up with parents and nephew.
