So far Nottingham's biggest musical claim to fame is Black Lace. This must change. It must. It has to. Hinterland is doing everything it can to make this happen. They play everywhere, with everyone…and all of the time.
After trimming ruthlessly down to 3 people in June 2004, Hinterland recorded and released their debut single 'Got A New Drug' in October for £66 each. Feedback is good. It's better than the same old tired pub rock crap that's so prevalent in 'scenes' across the country and press claim the band as better than anything produced by the rock scene this side of the year.
Hinterland is good on record, even greater live. Not remotely tempted to. Fill out the set with gimmicks or 'costumes', the band is content to quite. Simply rock out and this attitude has won praise from press, fans and venues alike.
