Blood Divided

So we’re here in the sweltering heat at Juncktion 7 surrounded by sweaty metal heads. E’ by gum it smells fruity. Blood Divided are greeted onto stage with eerie introduction music which them crashes into the five piece’s “fooking ‘eavy” death metal riffathon.</br> Front man, Joe, worked the crowd really well while the other members look a bit nervous he just throws himself into his role and the crowd love it. The music has some nice riffs and some amazing use of the double bass pedals but sometimes it got too busy in the songs with riffs and drums fills going on at the same time sometimes causing them to loose time with each other. After a few songs they all really got into it with the drummer beating those skins like he was spanking a chav. Their song ‘Seeking Silence’ was excellent and they really manage to build up a song well but when the song ended we were still waiting for the big finish. They also did a wonderful rendition of ‘happy birthday’ but that leads me too think, are these guys a bit too happy for death metal? Wearing white cut off jeans and grinning through their set reminds me of the daftness (but wonderfulness) that is ska. Come on boys, show me your angry faces and make me feel your satanic rath!
