I’ve known Axis for a while now, and whilst I have never been rn their biggest fan of there last demo offering, I always appreciated rn that they every member was really talented and I knew this band could rn produce the goods given time. rn Now After Hearing their new song ‘The Hunter’ they have proved me right, rn in fact rn they completely took me by surprise and blew my mind!!! rn The song starts with upbeat with a riff that sucks you in and builds rn up the antici rn pation for what else the song has to offer. Some crazy style Vocals rn cut through rn the guitars and then gives way to the faultless main Vocals, and best rn thing about rn the vocals is the singer isn’t trying to put on an American accent, rn he is just proj rn ecting his true voice, and its probably one of the best vocal performance rn I have rn heard in a very long time from an unsigned band, and with the growling rn backing rn vocals added it sounds like Axis are ready to turn pro and blow us all rn away! rn One thing I have noticed when listening to this song is the quality rn of production is rn amazing, the drums, guitars; bass etc all have a beautiful tone. Lots rn of time and rn blood sweat and tears must have gone into the mixing process to achieve rn a sound this good! rn The Axis that produced this song is a different Axis to the previous rn demo, I think the band have matured as a band and have grown in confidence, rn you can especially notice this in the singer’s voice, and it has rn more grit to the sound. rn If the rest of Axis new songs are this good I cant wait to hear them. rn Check them out
