Santa Marie opens this E.P sample with catchy melodies and sweet sounding guitar.rnAs the song builds it gets heavier and builds brilliantly in power as the viola, bass, drums and guitars get heavier and heavier and the vocals move up in power and character.rnThe song gets huge at the end kicking into a grungier vibe rather than the soft acoustic rock vibe at the end.rnA New Day ends this sampler with a soft and beautiful acoustic riff and as Lisa De’Ville’s vocals come in, you see why this band are starting to get a great reputation! The song builds slowly with gentle bass and drums holding it down, that moving, flowing guitar riff and huge bursts of power added by the viola in the chorus, giving it a classic and catchy chorus.rnLisa’s vocals however are what impresses most on this song, with eerie reverb and huge deep vocal lunges it reminds me of Eva Cassidy at times and has a very operatic edge.rnThis is a great advert for this band and though it sounds quite home made in the recording, the production is still good and the song writing builds the song into emotional epics of sound. Very impressive.
