Dirty Kanvus Demo

Polished, harmonious, makes you want dance. What more can you say? Well, you could say, Dirty Kanvus are from Nottingham, they exhibit substance over style (if their demo is anything to go by, a cd with the bands’ name written on it in marker pen and the track listing on a scrap of paper shoved in the case, but who cares when the music’s this good). Looking at the bands’ myspace (www.myspace.com/dirtykanvus ) it becomes apparent they do have artwork, maybe we’re just not worthy? Anyway, back to the music, it’s loud, it’s got melody, neat bass lines, running between swirling indie and something with a bit more of a punch, each song is different from the last, what more do you want?rn rnWell, there’s a hint of the Libertines in the last track ‘Forget About It’, and that’s enough for me! And they’re on the NME new bands list, they could be the next Arctic Monkeys, bouncy guitars and northern(ish) accents. Get into them now so you can say you knew them when!rn
