Sherwood Forest Fishery

The river Maun at walesby is one of my favourite places to fish. This clear, fast flowing river is renowned for it’s chub.

its source near to where I live doesn’t seem too appealing, I mean it’s a culverted trickle. However as it passes through the county and off through Sherwood forest it gets much nicer.

Nested in the main valley is a fisher I’ve never visited before, seems popular with match fishing, so much so 3 of 5 lakes were booked out. However we managed to find some spots on the bottom lake.
