Old man in a bath is a bit slower showing the range of dynamics. This is about life ultimately coming to an end, perhaps too soon. The sound of the guitar and bass in this song is mellow yet dark and deep, fitting in well with the lyrics. The guitar gets faster as it gears up to every verse which is effective and does the same as it reaches the chorus. The drum beat that continues at the end keeps the rhythm going.
Mommy whatÂ’s a pacifist is my favourite on the demo. As always the guitar and drums merge well together. Repetition in the song is very effective and the vocals are really strong contrasting with the higher pitched tones that work really well.
The overall tone of the demo is difference and you can tell the band are not trying to be something theyre not or copying other people with their unique style. Putting three songs on is the magic three and they all show the talent of the band and the diversity of the talent. This is a good start to the band. Go and see these guys!.
