A tale of two halves for this 3 piece Nottingham band, Lo-Fi Jack. Forget about the first 3 tracks, they are very rough grunge by numbers, with little melody or anything else going for them and quite worryingly crappy vocals which are sang in a dodgy american accent, with just the odd hint of 'Nottingham' creeping through at random, sporadic bursts. rnHOWEVER….. the final two songs on this demo come to the rescue as Colin, Martin and Brad decide that their not american after all and with wonderful loose vocal harmonies on a tidal wave of thrashy indie noise, bring the CD back to life. Sounding like a strange mix between Pixie-esq, Sonic Youth american college rock with early nineties british shoegaze (such as Ride or Bleach) thrown together, and so Lo-Fi Jack redeem themselves! rnAs Meatloaf nearly said 'Two out of Five ain't bad'.
